Who is behind Zammad?
Behind Zammad is a dedicated team of developers, support professionals and open source enthusiasts. Together we work to make support better, more transparent and more accessible.
How did we come about?
Many years ago, in a software world before our time, Zammad founder Martin Edenhofer already created a successful helpdesk software: OTRS. At some point, it was clear to Martin that these systems will become more and more important in modern times – and none of the existing solutions offer all the functionalities and integrations needed in everyday support life.
In 2014, Martin therefore founded a new open source solution with modern technology together with the core team from the OTRS area and called it Zammad. The result is up-to-date and extensive and has since convinced thousands of users - and new ones are added every day.
While the user group grows, the Zammad team has remained small and familiar and is still held together by the Zammadians, who laid the foundation and whose passion is untarnished to this day. We are scattered all over the world and yet work more closely together than many open-plan offices.
What we have achieved so far makes us proud. What comes next, we will see. But one thing is certain: Zammad is already a success story today.
