· We are pleased to announce the release of Zammad 2.2. On this occasion we would like to draw your attention to new Zammad trainings at the Linuxhotel (in German and English - see public trainings).
Now for the release. In addition to the bugfix release Zammad 2.1.1 we also release the new Zammad 2.2.0 with the following major improvements.
i-doit is a highly flexible web application for the documentation of complex IT infrastructures (also often called CMDB, which comes from ITIL).
If you want to link your objects in i-doit with tickets in Zammad, you can now use the i-doit integration.
The integration makes it possible to manage objects in i-doit with an additional sidebar when creating or editing tickets.
Furthermore, when you integrate a monitoring system (e. g. Nagios, icinga or Check_MK), the affected objects (if the relationship exists via i-doit) are also displayed directly. This has the advantage that even in i-doit the ticket history for the failures of an object is visible.
As usual, the integration can be done easily via the Zammad admin interface.
Often the entire email (incl. attachments) of a customer must be forwarded to a third party (who does not use Zammad, e. g. a supplier).
This is now supported by Zammad without the hassle of downloading and uploading attachments. In addition to the familiar "Reply" and "Reply to all" functions, "Forward" is now also available.
PS: Attachments are now also included when sharing tickets.
The training is aimed at administrators who would like to run Zammad and project managers who would like to introduce Zammad. We turn you into a professional regarding installation, configuration, use of power features (text building blocks, macros, etc.), integration of channels such as Twitter, Facebook, email, chat and email forms. We also familiarize you with the possibilities of user/rights management, backup and restore, scaling and high availability.

The training is aimed at service and support members who will learn how to work efficiently with Zammad in their daily work. We make your agents fit for the daily work with Zammad.

Mailsploit is a vulnerability in different email clients, which makes it possible that a sender can be forged. Vulnerable clients only provide the forged sender.
Zammad is not affected by this gap.
All improvements can be found in the changelog.
